Maybe it’s just not our genre, or maybe I should have done better research before we went, or maybe the thing just sucks. Blink Twice had a good review as entertaining and suspenseful. What it was/is is a ham-handed attempt at creating something which is truly amusing and suspenseful such as Knives Out. My wife is usually the one who wants to walk out on a disappointing film. I kept suggesting that, but she kept thinking it would get better. Nope. The psychological games at the site of most of the “horror” are hackneyed. Most of the characters are boring and predictable. The performances by Acki and Tatium are as good as one could expect given the lackluster material they had to work with. But pay money go go see it? nonononononono
